The Card Quest

I try to make this post as humorous as possible.. a look at the title will reveal a resemblence to a popular Japanese RPG game.
They say visiting Japan is a great experience, living in Japan is a nightmare..
I do not want to be bias or ultra-right, because every country always have this “story” about how they treat foreigners…
But boy!! its hard to be a “gaijin” in this country! I got rejected 4 times now applying for credit card, although I have perfect credit score.. Well everybody is saying that getting a credit card in the USA is like asking your neighbour for candies during halloween.. but not the case in Japan.
But no hard feelings..after all, we are living in foreign land, and have the ability to max the credit and “run away” to God knows which land…
So today, I worked hard.. (the hardest I have worked on in a few days) I filled up the tedious credit card application form, Photocopied my prove of income: which consist of my Scholarship and oversease remmitance notification..(which involves getting wet in the rain, as I have to stop over and find a copy machine)
Then I worked my way out dramatically moved myself and the application envelope and kissed it before dropping it in the post box..
There you go…
Hopefully I sealed it with a lucky kiss.. and hopefully.. none of those deameaning cruel letter of rejection EVER come again to my place
If this one rejects me again.. there is only one last chance in COSTCO….
cheers everyone!
Anton
